Business has been very, very busy for BLU lately. Having so many body parts to work with can be distracting to a man. So can being set on fire fifteen times in a row. Respawners are nice but it still hurts, a lot. It's the kind of thing that distracts you from visiting you favorite multiversal bar ( Read more... )

A man from the battlefield world!

Teja has not seen any from there for a long while, and when he notices the Medic, he comes over at once.

"Greetings!"

The Medic glances up for a moment, then puts down his paper. "Ah, Herr Teja," he says. "Good to see you. Und how haf you been?"

He's not sure of how long's passed here since last time; it probably doesn't matter, really.

"I have been well," Teja says. "I have been given a door to the world of my people, by a grateful goddess. But if a blue door turned up here once more, I would be the first through it. I remember your world fondly."

Cata's at her usual table, but not monitoring the bar quite as closely as usual; it turns out her advanced students' work can be quite good, if they put their minds to it. (And they're far more likely to apply themselves than the beginners.)
But when she finishes, she looks up, catches sight of the Medic, and heads over. "Room for one more?"

"Always," says the Medic, looking up with a smile. "Guten abend. How have you been doing, hm?"

The narration rather doubts that it would be 'always' for just anyone - but then, it wouldn't be for Cata, either.
"Quite well, thank you," she says, as she sits down. "Having a more advanced class seems to be making this year pass rather more quickly. And yourself?"

"I do well enough," says the Medic with a shrug. "Vun loses track of time after ze sixth or seventh new job location, und ze stream of replacement employees. I can only patch up so many."

He doesn't sound particularly upset by that fact.
