Happy Hour

There's nothing special happening tonight: people are drinking, eating socializing, and of course, there's a bar-person tending the Bar while Bar has her beauty sleep

"Haven't seen you in a while," Urquhart says, coming up to the bar.

"No, pestilence is never fun," Urquhart says. "Better make sure it stops. You'll tell me when you can use my help?"

She offers a smile. "I will. Sooner than later, so I will be able as well to feed in those dark streets."

[scots_wolf]

"Are you going hungry?" Urquhart asks.

[hoopsonfire]

"I'm always hungry. But not ravenous." She's not about to lose control.

There's always blood substitute. "Critters outside are edible."

[scots_wolf]

"So there's no need for me to offer?" Urquhart asks, sounding almost disappointed.

[hoopsonfire]

"Need, no." Amara leans closer, fingertips touching his cheek. "But if you do, it'll not be declined."

[scots_wolf]

"I do," Urquhart says. "Of course I do."

[hoopsonfire]

Then she smiles, nodding. "Spend the night with me, then? Keep me warm, chase away the nightmares." He does not even have to sleep the day with her.

"Oh yes," Urquhart says, smiling.

[hoopsonfire]

"Thank you." She kisses Urquhart's cheek, smiling.

[scots_wolf]

"As soon as your shift is done!"

[hoopsonfire]

The vampire nods, sashaying away to serve other patrons. It's a slow night, and she'll be done soon.

So Urquhart sips his drink and leans on the bar and waits, smiling to himself, looking forwards to a night of less-than-common pleasures.-

And maybe a few more common ones too, if she has a chance to demonstrate somethings she learned from the Baron of Santa Monica.

But that is his call.
