This time, when Tsu'tey ends up in Millwiays, he really isn't expecting it; even less than he was expecting it the first time, which says quite a lot. He comes in from outside, flying on his ikran--they're still relatively new to each other, so when he's startled at the change in surroundings, so is she, but to a much more dangerous extent. It ( Read more... )

It is a dragon!

Or something like that.

Urquhart calls the dog close, and keeps an eye on the large creature with the leathery wings while he approaches the blue fellow at the loom.

He seems to be the same kind of creature Trudy was for one of those shape-shifting holidays last year...

Tsu'tey is relatively more at ease this time, after getting Atanvi to calm down and settle above him in the tree he's leaning against.

He watches the human approach curiously, looking up at his mount and inclining his head to indicate she should go higher, or find a comfortable perch elsewhere.

"I take it that's your dragon?" Urquhart says.

Franz the dog is leaning close against his leg and looking up at the creature with great worry. But he's not running away.

"She is not a dragon," he corrects. "We call them ikran; you call them banshees."

"What are you doing?" asked Naruto watching the tall blue catlike man from a nearby tree. "I mean, that's not knitting or anything."

Seriously he's not seen weaving before.

"Weaving," Tsu'tey answers, leaning back against the tree in which his ikran is perched, calm again, finally. "It is common in my clan to learn the craft."

"Really?" he asked , "Why?"

He moved closer just a little crouching.

"Why does your family do anything?" he asks. "It is tradition, and we sell the things we make to the other tribes."

There is a certain Colonel sitting at the Bar who gets a very uneasy feeling when a ten foot tall member of a certain alien race walks into the Bar.

Ah, crap...

Cue Quaritch carefully checking to make sure that his gun is on hand (it is) before turning to face the new arrival.

Tsu'tey is still a teenager, still wary of humans, but not quite so stuck in his ways.

He does recognize the Colonel as he turns, large amber eyes locking onto a very familiar and very unwelcome face as his ears flatten back, not two steps from baring his teeth at the man.

Quaritch locks eyes right back, hand not on his gun but definitely in a position to draw quickly if it comes to that.

"So the Bar dragged one of you in here as well?"

The tone of his voice is more irritated than anything...the one place he didn't have to worry about this stuff, and one of Team Blue shows up. Just his luck.

"Yes," he answers, purposefully in English, though it's heavily accented. His long fingers curl around the loom by the post he's carrying it by; his knife is easy to reach, but the Bar is a place of truce, he recalls.

His tail lashes against his legs, but he stays his ground. "And you, Colonel? Did the...bar drag you here, or did you intend to come?"
