(And, thanks to spending several of Quatre's workdays hanging out at the local university, Trowa now has much more detailed mental notes on how to successfully pass as a college student. Cass sees him enter the bar. Cass sees his little exchange. Cass oh so sneakily follows him to the gym.

He doesn't notice her, of course. She is being sneaky.

Like, on tip-toes and a manic grin and everything.

Okay then.

Trowa is no longer taking his time. There's no particular need to intervene or to make a discreet exit, from the sound of things, and Cass is there anyway, but -- it probably wouldn't hurt to leave the stall and make his presence slightly more known.

If nothing else, this is unlikely to be boring.

"That's just what a vampire would say!" says Buffy, triumphant. However, instead of driving the plunger through Jamie's heart, she turns her head, distracted by Trowa's sudden appearance. "Hello! Your hair is structurally unusual!"

"Thanks," says Trowa.

Placidly.

"Is it me," Jamie demands of Trowa, squirming under Buffy's grip, "or is she acting a significant degree more mental than usual?"

Cass purses her lips thoughtfully, then points at Jamie.

It's probably just him.

"She seems pretty cheerful," Trowa acknowledges.

This is actually slightly dry, and meant as agreement, but Jamie may or may not be able to hear it as such. Trowa's deadpan is excellent.

"Cheerful about murdering me!"

Everyone else might be sanguine about this fact, but Jamie would like it out there, for the record, that he is not!

"You're already dead!" Buffy tells him, sounding, if anything, slightly concerned that he has not reached this realization on his own already. She pauses. "Ooh! Wait! Do I know you?"

Cass reaches out to gently push downward on the plunger.

See? No one is going to get stabbed with a plunger!

Or, well, that's how it would go if Buffy weren't so insanely strong.

"I'm pretty sure he's not," Trowa puts in helpfully.

Actually, he has no idea. Milliways complicates that sort of thing. But the guy seems to object to the prospect of being murdered, which is a fair clue.

(His face is . . . ringing a distant bell, but Trowa can't quite place it.)

"And violence is against the rules."

You know. If you get caught.

And she has two witnesses at the moment, so that would count.

Though, for the record, it's not like Cass will talk about whatever happens in the bathroom today.

Or about anything.

You know, with the whole not-talking thing.

"I'm very much not!"

Jamie attempts to throw up his arms - difficult, given the spacing, and also his imprisonment by a freakishly strong tiny blonde.

"I think I liked it better when you were trying to seduce me, and I didn't much like that!"

"Did I try to seduce you?"

Buffy sounds as though she thinks it's entirely possible this happened without her knowledge.

She frowns.

"Then you must be a vampire!"

Trowa makes a mental note.

Thank you for explaining, Stepford Buffy.

What he says is, "I don't think that follows."

If A, then B does not mean if B, then A. Necessarily.

"You should probably let him go."
