Charlie was tinkering with his old VW Bug - or the impossible-to-explain version of it in here - when the motorcycle stared racing in circles. It takes until the fourth lap till he is sure who's on the bike.

He watches for a bit, and decides she has really got a mad on tonight.

She really has a mad on, that's a perfect way of putting it.

Still, she sees Charlie and she's not too mad to be polite. Mostly.

After leaping a car a few aisles over, she turns around and heads down towards him, skidding to a stop before pulling her helmet off.

"Hi, Charlie."

"Hey, Dinah. Nice driving. I could never get the hang of those things." He barely got the hang of a car, judging by the speeding tickets he used to get. "Something up?"

"Another Mom-skill," Dinah explains. "With added maintenance drills from Wildcat.

"I'm OK. Just... stuff back home. I don't wanna talk about it. This your car?"

Speaking of one of those people who knows some of her secrets right now, Beauford stops in the elevator with a large box in his arms looking into the Garage and the motorcycle doing circles inside of it.

So much for doing a little tinkering.

Well, it's not like the garage isn't big enough for the two of them.

Dinah happens to be heading towards the elevator when Beauford comes in, and automatically starts slowing down.

But then it begins to hit home - talk about an unequal exchange of knowledge. The guy pretty much knows everything that's happening in her life, and she knows - well, the only thing she knows for certain is what she doesn't know.

So she speeds up again, about to turn away, before she realises that's even that's too rude, so she slams the brakes on and slides to a halt near him.

...it just happens to only have the one exit that doesn't go out into the freezing snow that they both have to share.

She just happens to know how he got the worst scars of his life, his three worst moments when he wanted Milliways... Except she doesn't know his age, his family, only a bare number of his friends...

"Dinah?" He almost backed up a step when she sped up towards him, looking at her stance and back towards the bike. "Something up?"

Dinah, still sitting on the bike and not bothering to dismount, shakes her head automatically.

"No," she says in that tone that's reserved for saying 'fine' when you're really not. "Just fixed up the engine down here and I wanted to try it out."

This is, for the most part, a lie made up on the spot.
