Bill had another meeting with Kimbrell today. Lately it seems he sees more of that man than anybody else

Coming from another man that might be a pick up. Coming From Jameson it's just ego.

If Bill has read the book he'll understand.

"Yes, I give it to the magazine and they edit and print it."

He's seen the book, and heard a few details about it, but hasn't read it himself.

Just laughed at Beckett and the cover.

"And you'll move on to another assignment?"

[mickandbono]

"Yeah, or do more pieces here. Maybe follow up and stuff."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"So pretty much whatever you feel like doin' next? Must be kinda nice, havin' freedom with your schedule like that."

Being a cop means Bill has a hard time coordinating anything, because there's always the chance work is going to keep him or call.

"yeah, It's one of the things I really like about my job but I do have other commitments "

Oh to tell Bill he writes smut fluff?

"Yeah? What else do you do?"

"Now remember how brave I was with the Demon bunny before I tell you this because it might give you the urge to laugh:"

He gives Jameson a quizzical look while taking a drink, then chuckles.

"Alright, what?"

"I write those smut books in my spare time."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

That makes Bill pause.

"You mean those romance, Prince of Arabia's mistress kind of books?"

[mickandbono]

"Something like that yea. I'm almost as famous as Nora Roberts. Almost but she's got years on me."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

It starts as a snort, and then a snicker, and suddenly Bill's laughing fit to split.

"Don't know if that's somethin' t'be real proud on," he says, grin spread wide on his face.

Jamie looks at him then takes a shot and pours him self a new one.

" I see, I had to make a living some how. Besides, no one knows it's me back home"

[wheelsy_sheriff]

Bill sobers a bit when he hears that, and tilts his head at Jameson.

"So you started out with the uh, books?"

Making a living is better than doing it as a hobby, although Bill wouldn't look down at Jamie for either, it struck him as funny is all.
