There is a young man--most would see him as a boy, fifteen and in running clothes consisting of an Academy tee shirt and track pants--that's watching him and considering the maps.

Many of them appear to be quite old. Many are in dead languages. Those two groups don't overlap as much as you'd figure.

He wasn't particularly expecting to get spotted, and so he looks up sharply when the words interrupt his thought process.

"Oh! I am sorry, sir. Is, how you say, a habit of mine? Ze maps, zey got my attention." His voice is heavily accented in Russian, sounding thick and lyrical despite the small stature of the speaker.

It's been a while since Artie heard an accent like that. It brings a painful twinge of nostalgia, which fortunately passes quickly.

"Oh. Oh, yeah, yeah, I can see why they might do that..."
