Ed rubs at his eyes for a moment before swallowing, throat working as he puts his hands into his pockets, "...Nice costume."

"You too mate." Father Christmas says, pointing at the sign.

Danielle Fenton walks by.

Several seconds later, after doing a double-take, Dani walks back to get a better look at this guy in the armchair.

"Oh. My. Gosh."

Father Christmas waves.

"Hello there."

"Hi."

This face, FC. Just...this face.

"Um...do you prefer Father Christmas, or Santa Claus?"

"Father Christmas, but the post arrives either way." Father Christmas says.

He waves her over.

"What's your name?"

Well. Victoire knows who that man is. Her little face lights up and she trots over to him.

"Hello there little girl, what's your name?" Father Christmas asks, patting his knee for her to sit on.

Victiore drops the wand in her (it squawks on impact with the floor it turns into a bright red stuffed parrot) and scrambles up onto his lap.

Yes, her parents have taught her to stay away from strangers but this is Father Christmas so that doesn't count, right?

"I'm Victoire Weasley."

[father_chris]

"That's a very pretty name. What would you like for Christmas, Victoire?"

If she asks for something magic, she might be disappointed, this Father Christmas can't give magic things.

"Father...Christmas?"

Rue stares at the sign, mystified.

Father Christmas waves.

"Hello there."

"Are you from the Capitol?"

'Christmas' sounds like a Capitol name, possibly even from one of the richer Districts. She doesn't know what to make of 'Father'.

"No, sorry." Father Christmas says. "I live in a little house with my cat and dog and reindeer."

A young lady in a shiny silvery headband regards the sign suspiciously.

"This is exactly what that dude at the mall said."

"Well there's more than one of us. It's a big world." Father Christmas says.
