Robot tender. Groovy.

Enzo scratches his head. "Um... I think my girlfriend's parents must be action scientists? Unless it means something besides what I think it does."

Green patron. Nifty.

Robo pauses in his glass wiping (He is something of a traditionalist) and says, "Do they punch things with science?"

"If they're wearing the Ghost Gauntlets. Otherwise they blast things with science, or trap things with science. Ooh, or sometimes kick things with science."

The mun hopes everyone else is enjoying this conversation as much as she is.

One does hope so. Else what's the point?

"Versatility is the key to success," says Robo with a nod, "What'll it be?"

If Enzo tries to get something intoxicating, then Robo will start fishing for ID.

Tyler's just going to pull himself up onto a barstool and look at Robo a bit before looking at the specials board.

"....okay. I'll bite. What does an action Scientist do?"

"A lot of the time we end up punching things with science," says Robo, "We catch the weird stuff back home, ants the size of a coffee table, pyramids that dig them selves out of the desert and end up having death rays, that sort of thing."

"...okay. Say there's a super family back home, all the members have superpowers. You get invited to their tower for a roof-top barbeque cause their youngest daughter and her cousin think you're an okay guy." Tyler starts, tracing some nonsense onto the Bartop. "And the head of the family is a supergenius who calls himself the Mental Nucleius, and while you're there, some crystal things from another dimension start attacking. Does running out of the firing line while the Mental Nucleius and his Nuclear Family fight the crystal things count as having worked with an action scientist?"

"Nuclear. Family."

Clearly Robo has fixated on the most important part of the story.

"Well, if I were asked about this hypothetical situation I'd have to say that actually getting out of the way is more than I get consistently from the Action Scientists that work for me so that probably counts," says Robo, "What do you want Tyler?"

Cable stepped in, and blinked, then shivered as memory returned to him. "Right. This place."

He headed for the bar, which he noted had a tender for once. That was new.

He settled to a stool and waited for attention so he could order, well, one of those Atomic Cocktails.

"Does it count if you work on your own cybernetics and kick bad guy ass?"

"But what kind of bad guy?" asks Robo, "What are you after?"

"A terrorist. And to stop him from blowing up a small country... and get paid doing it."

He grinned. "Nothing wrong with getting paid."

"Makes it easier to buy my next shirt," agrees Robo, "I traded a few rounds of that for my citizenship papers."

Cable gets a considering look while Robo rubs his chin.

"Eh. It's close enough to Christmas. I'll count you."
