Bella has successfully gotten through the holiday season, and has even started associating with other humans again.

When the door opens to Bar, she can't quite figure out how to feel. There's a tiny light of hope that she pre-emptively shoves down to ward off the pain that comes with inevitable disappointment. She won't ask Bar for letters, this time.

She hesitates in the doorway; she's been doing okay. Mostly. Better than before.

Stepping through probably won't hurt anything she can't repair again later.

She only gets a few steps in before she feels suddenly and irresistably compelled by the karaoke machine in the corner. She'd heard rumor of these things happening, but hadn't ever fully believed it. How could a machine make you sing, anyway?

"I don't give a damn 'bout my bad reputation ~"

Several Joan Jett songs later, Bella had her answer.

"That was kind of excessively weird even for you, Bar."
