The voice hailing her from across the field is distinctly lower than last time she heard it, though still not adult yet. This makes sense, as the sprite producing it is distinctly larger. Even his personal transport has been upgraded.

"Why isn't anyone getting much work done?"

"Well, the town's mainly well-known for its gold-mining," she explains as she leans back against Bessie. "There's the two companies set up there and, from what I've heard, both have had their machinery break down at the same time, so they can't do any digging, or whatever else they do to get the gold."

She's not all that familiar with the process, and hopes she never has to be at any time in the immediate future!

Enzo's stopped surfing around by now, and is sitting comfortably with his board hovering about three feet up.

"Man, that bytes." He winces at the Auto-Tune chime that sneaks into his voice.
