From stage left comes a loud wolf whistle.

The wolf whistle, in turn, comes from a very familiar face.

Oh, she doesn't even need to look at the face; she knows that whistle. And knowing who it is means that maybe this is still her hotel room after all.

She turns to look anyway, folding her arms across her chest and smiling.

"Loki." Her tone's warm, in contrast with the sharpness of her smile. "Didn't expect to see you here. Do I have you to thank for the decor?"

"Kali," he greets her in kind, with as bright a grin as ever. He breaks off a chunk of the Toblerone bar he's been nibbling at. "Nah, tonight's not an interior decorating kind of night. I was feeling more like dinner -- " he holds up the chocolate, " -- and a movie."

He tips the selfsame candy toward the Window.

"I was thinking this look wasn't really your style," she muses, idly drifting closer. "Not quite tacky enough."

The sparks catch her attention, and she glances in that direction.

Human. Definitely human, but ... different.

She's pretty sure it's human, anyway.

Elle is getting a rather long look.

"That's interesting," is all she says; it might be an answer, or might just be an observation.

[river_meimei]

River peers at her.

(Slightly damply.)

Kali doesn't appear to notice her immediately; she's heading for the bar.

Okay.

River can continue peering almost indefinitely!

Maybe Kali is interesting.

[forewarned_is]

Maybe she is!

Maybe she's suddenly ten feet tall and has four arms, and skin the blue-black of a summer midnight, and a necklace of human skulls.

Or maybe she's a perfectly ordinary-looking woman, stepping up to the bar and ordering a glass of Atlantean.

"You are for wanting more sparkle, perhaps?"

This voice comes from the rafters. And it is followed by a very loud thump.

"Or possibly it is something else."

[forewarned_is]

She looks up sharply.

"More what?"

[creator_raven]

"Sparkle."

Raven is a helpful creature.

"Or possibly also cookies. It is no difficult thing to combine them."

Not for him, anyway.

Call it a life skill.

[forewarned_is]

He's helpful indeed. And, perhaps, reminds her of someone -- which could be the reason for the tiny curl of smile.

"No, thank you," she says. "I don't think we've met."
