It may have been quite some time since a certain alchemist has been seen in the bar but well...when the person you want to see most spends more time at home than in the bar, there isn't too much reason to be here

Unlike many people, Ed has no choice as to when he's in the bar. So if he hasn't been here awhile, that's the fault of the door. It's really been awhile because it surprises him to see, a reaction he never likes to have. :|

Russ might not be the type to shout it around, but Ed sure is! He happens by the lake, spots Russ, and points.

"BIRTHDAY BOY!" he shouts, then tackles the poor guy.

Ed should be glad that he doesn't get lemonade spilled on him (although if he had, Russ would have licked it off and that always works out for everyone involved).

Russell topples over making a noise a protest that he doesn't really mean.

Because yeah, having Ed on top of him? Not such a bad place for him to be.

It better not be a bad place to be. If Russ ever thought that he'd get hit. Oops.

"You came here for your birthday, huh? What made you think of that?" After all that time!

Ed doesn't get off of him because he doesn't have to and he's lazy.

Russell doesn't mind. Ed can stay there all day if he wants!

Russell shrugs in reply -- as much as he can while laying down anyway.

"This place brings back a lot of memories," he says thoughtfully.

Most of them good, thankfully, like the ones that involve Ed. He must be getting nostalgic in his old age. Or something.
