"Maker's breath, what is taking him so long?"

Alistair grumbled as he pushed the door open, the hood over his head blocking his vision from seeing exactly where he was entering. All he cared about was getting out of the rain and into the warm inn, find his friend and then drag him out again by the hair if he had to.

As soon as he pushed the hood ( Read more... )

"Huh?" Alistair blinked and looked up, staring at the young woman sitting on the rafters, looking rather shellshocked by the sight of the bright blue and orange colors. "My... My armor?" He brought a gauntleted hand to his chest and touched the dirty-grey metal platings, stroking a finger over it. "Erm... Yes..? Is there something called... Eh... Unreal armor?"

"Milliways..? And... Museums..?" Alistair blinked,a bit confused with all these strange words. He had heard the word before, knowing that it ment to have old things on display, but that was something nobles did and it was not for all to see.

"This is brand new," he mumbled to himself before remembering his manners. "Erm... I am Alistair... It is nice to meet you... YT?"

It's sheer luck that has Alistair's fellow Warden in Milliways at the moment, and not in the bar that he originally meant to go into. A quick stop in for supplies, one errant step into an open room to evaluate the possibility of his small party holing up until the rain had stopped, and he'd found himself--not an unwelcome discovery, on the whole--in a place that was warmer and dryer than the one he'd left ( ... )

Alistair looked around until he spotted Talaerion, looking dry and happy, the lucky sod. Still, seeing his friend was a great relief and Alistair hurried over to the smaller elf with a look of both panic as well as relief.

"Talaerion! Where in the Maker's name are we?" he asked while stepping up next to him, still looking around with a nervous glance. "This is... Not like any other bar I've ever been in?"

"Oh, trust me, it's not like any other bar that you've ever been in. Here, sit down and get the armor off while you dry out." The elf pokes one finger against Alistair's chest. "Just leave the tunic and trousers on, otherwise we're going to have trouble. I'll explain why, once you're comfortable."

"I am not sure I feel safe enough to just remove my armor," Alistair replied, frowning a little at Talaerion. But he didn't want to get in trouble either so he silently obeyed, slowly strapping off the protective shoulderpads, the chestpiece and gauntlets.

"Just no giggling, I hate it when you giggle when I undress."

There is a quiet drow sitting down in one of the shadowed booths, sipping from a chilled glass of wine. His eyebrows went up as the human knight made his way into the Bar. The drow assessed the thoroughly unfamiliar look of the strange male's armor in silence, before his keen ears caught the man whimpering Talaerion's name.

Hm. It seemed another person from Thedas had arrived. Fascinating.

If the drow payed attention, the brief look of panic would be noted as Alistair made the realistation that he was no longer in Thedas, the confusion as the woman who called herself YT tried to explain the situation and then finally the look of utter relief as Alistair found his lost friend, Talerion.

The drow has indeed been paying attention. He just doesn't have the inclination to introduce himself yet. The human male seems to have found his friend. Talaerion also seems to be glad to see the strange human. They seem to be very close ( ... )

Alistair's eyes widened slightly in surprise as a waitrat suddenly came to him with a tray, carrying a pair of tall glasses with what Alistair assumed was wine as well as a heavenly looking course of cheese.

At first, he wondered if it was a mistake, that the tray was for someone else, but as the waitrat remained, he got a look of utter joy and satisfaction on his face. "Who sent it," he asked, smiling warmly. "I would like to thank this most generous person."
