Charlie is outside, practicing Tai Chi forms. White tank top, loose black pants, no shoes. He looks utterly serene.

There is a rustling in the bushes near the forest.

Charlie notes the rustle, and keeps going with a few more stretches, and an internal mantra.

After a while, a rather bedraggled Wellington scurries to the next bush.

It rained heavily last night, and his hat got muddy.

Now he sees it. Something that looks vaguely like a Muppet. Or maybe that squirrel-like Green Lantern from some years back is more like it.

"Hello?"

There is a man moving really slowly, making gestures that end up looking like overly artful defensive positions. And flowing from one into the next... slowly.

Is it a dance? Is he trying to understand something about defending himself? Is this a ritual?

There is a tan skinned, red-eyed young woman in a simple blue and white dress staring, confused. And contrary to the icon, her hair is quite short. Still red, but short.

He notices the woman. Hair red than his, skin a bit darker than you see on most redheads, attractive. And looking confused.

"Hello."

"Hello."

Are you dancing? Are you practicing for a fight? "Wha-what are you doing?"

"It's called Tai Chi. A form of martial art that is more about focusing the mind and body at once than about fighting. I like it a lot, and it's perfect for a summer's day." It's not as hot as Hub City used to get, but it's otherwise nice and warm and bright.
