There is a Sam! He's outside on the jetty, dabbling his feet in the water and watching the sunset.

Come bother him.

Inside is a Martha, curled up on a sofa with a big glass mug of Irish coffee (mmmm, whiskey), a slice of chocolate cake, and a copy of A Study In ScarletShe hasn't noticed that she's acquired a cream moustache from the coffee

"You're just asking to be shoved in, you know," Atton remarks, peering at Sam. "It's my civic duty."

Atton stares at the floor, with great sadness, shuffling his feet.

Sam ruffles his hair fondly.

"Also you are the most dorkiest Atton in the universe!"

[stuck_mynock]

Atton leans into his hand a little.

"Foolish Sammy."

[necessary_child]

Sam keeps fussing Atton's hair.

"Foolish Atton! I have no love for you, none."

[stuck_mynock]

"Hate," Atton says fondly.

[necessary_child]

"Hate for you." Sam leans against Atton comfortably.

[stuck_mynock]

"Hate for everyone."

[necessary_child]

"You have so much hate to spread around," Sam observes. "It must be a product of your hateful nature."

[stuck_mynock]

"No, Sammy, you are the one who hates everybody, not me! I hate nobody."

[necessary_child]

"Lies! I hate only you."

Pause.

"And polkadots. But mostly you."

[stuck_mynock]

"You lie! I will shake you," Atton says, reaching over to shake Sam.

[necessary_child]

"You are cruel and violent and I push you!"

Sam suits the action to the word, except he needs magic to do so.

[stuck_mynock]

Atton frowns.

"Mean! I will shake the cruelty out of you."

Further shaking ensues.

"You are the most cruellest of all cruel Attons!"

Sam fights back with tickly!magics!

[stuck_mynock]

Atton wails manfully.

He doesn't like being tickled.
