Annabelle eyes the suit speculatively. It looks like it might fit Connor.

"Hello, Ellen," Annabelle says with a smile.

"Hi, Annabelle," says Ellen, looking up. "Long time no see. How're you doing?"

"I've.....had better weeks," Annabelle admits. "I had a violent sociopathic entity steal my form and identity and trap me in a mirror."

Yeah.

".... Bleah," says Ellen succinctly. "Um. Wow. How did you get out?"

She's pretty sure that was a plot in a Grognak the Barbarian comic she read once, but the pages that showed how Grognak got away from the sorceror Chizzen-Rath's mirror chamber were missing.

"Ellen," Diana says warmly, smiling as she approaches the girl.

"You and Star Paladin Cross have been faring well, I hope?"

"Oh! Hi, Diana," Ellen says, smiling back. "We're doing all right, thank you. As a matter of fact we're within striking distance of Vault-Tec headquarters right now. There's just some mutants holding a position nearby that're giving us trouble, but I don't think they're going to last much longer. How've you been?"

"I'm glad to hear it. As for myself, I've fared well, too. Visiting old friends, mostly. They're busier than I am right now, which is something of a change. "

A profound change, even. But it is only for a year -- less than that, now -- and Diana will cope. Womanfully.

"I'm trying to like it. Do you anticipate much trouble once you've gotten into Vault-Tec?"

"Good luck with that," Ellen says, maybe just a little bit wistfully; her old friends- well, they're in Vault 101, and despite the change of leadership.... well. "Um. Star Paladin Cross says that the Brotherhood scouts who verified the building is still standing haven't ever been able to get past the building lobby. The scouts who visit Vernon Square usually travel alone or in pairs, and the mutants tend to outnumber them. I was planning on looking for help here. Annabelle Newfield usually offers to come along when something like this comes up, and Agent K's already said he'll help, too."

"Oh, it's power armor from my world," Ellen says. "It's got some kind of electrical field I don't quite understand, at least when it's active- I've powered it down just now. It absorbs laser fire and plasma fire really well. The man who wore this suit got killed when a supermutant knocked him off the second floor of a derelict building and he hit the ground, but the suit itself is fine."

"Well, I've only ever seen it attacked with lasers and my plasma rifle," Ellen says, "and of course bullets and ordinary frag grenades, but it could probably be tested against other forms of energy attacks if there were a way available. I mean, there's a target range out back and all."
