It's almost too late for Ingress to be outside, but she's practically a Herald, and Mr. Julia is right there in the water, keeping and eye on her.
"Oh, hello, Vincent," she says, as she walks along the shore. She's in her grays. That's what she usually wears when she's going back and forth to Haven.
Oh, he misses being around children. There are not so many at this place, and that is as it should be. This... is not a suitable location for them, but then again, that's not for him to say.
Her question makes him smile, and for once he doesn't try to hide it. That... would serve no purpose.
"No." He's tempted to reach out and ruffle her hair, but... she might not like that. "It would be an enviable skill to have. Tell me, how do you understand rat and pigeon speech?"
He... hopes she does it. Records, they say, were made to be broken and it would be delightful if Ingress -- or someone like her -- broke his old childhood rock-skipping record.
The smile lingers on his face for some time, until he finally returns to his tree with a graceful leap. Tonight, he will stay here.

She peers out to see if the squid in question is still around. She doesn't see him, and it's nearly dark.
"I'll ask him next time. I should go back to the House. Tom and Door wanted to have a special dinner since I'm home visiting."

This... has been a welcome respite. He's always enjoyed the company of children, and in his mind Ingress still qualifies as a child.
"Thanks. For the conversation." It isn't something he does on a daily basis, although... he should. It would help the time to pass more pleasantly.

It doesn't occur to her that Vincent doesn't have frequent conversations.
"I'll see you later, okay? And I'll tell you if I skip past nine."
She waves and heads for the lights of Milliways.
