There is a small blonde woman solemnly reading the board, a spiral-bound notepad of her own tucked in her arms as she studies.

It's a... unique collection of drinks, she'll admit.

Ianto finally looks up and smiles. "Can I get you anything?" he says, tucking his diary away.

"I was hoping for tea with cream." She admits, still studying the board in hopes of inspiration. "It is one of the best things your planet has invented."

"Any particular kind of tea?" Ianto says and gestures to the canisters of tea leaves. "We have kinds even I have never heard of."

Cal has paused on his way toward the Bar to look at one of the sparkly flyers that have been put up.

He wonders if Bela has seen these yet. He kind of has a feeling that once she does, he will find that his near future contains a tuxedo.

He finishes the walk to the Bar with a vaguely resigned expression. "Hi, Ianto."

"Hey, Cal," Ianto says and frowns a bit. "What's wrong?"

Cal gestures toward one of the flyers.

"Twenty bucks says Bela's gonna want to go." He sounds more wry than displeased. "You think Bar does tuxes?"

Fittings are a pain in the ass. He has kind of enjoyed not having to deal with those.

Ianto reads the flier and Totally Isn't Smirking when he looks up at Cal. "I'm sure she does, but isn't prom a teenager thing?"

"Ianto," X says, sliding onto a barstool.

She tilts her head slightly, attention flickering between him and the specials.

"Green tea without the cocktail is okay?"

Alcohol is not her favorite.

At all.

"Green tea on its own is absolutely okay," says Ianto and starts some water to boil.

"How are you? It's been a long time."

"I am okay," X says.

"No one is dead. At home."

Beat.

"You are okay, too?"

He is right. It has been a long time.

"I am okay. No one is dead at home, either."

Ianto needs to look up "foreshadowing" at some point.

"Would you like anything with your tea?"
