Perhaps she hasn't been in Bar in a while, a few months maybe more? Look, we'll see what kind of free-thought time you come up with between running a small city and raising a special needs daughter

"Hello," Data says to the toddler. He then introduces himself to both of them. "I am Lieutenant Commander Data, of the starship Enterprise. I am aquainted with a sprite named Enzo Matrix. Am I correct in my assumption that you know him as well?"
He has a suspicion as to who these two people might be, but he does not want to assume too much.
"He's my youngest brother," Dot smiles, as the toddler makes her way closer to him. "Dot Matrix, COMMAND.COM of Mainframe system...You're very correct in your assumption."
::Hi! You shiny!::
...That just came from the toddler crawling towards him by the way.
Yrael had been reading a high-school physics text-book on the couch by the fireplace. It's easy to shut out the bar.
But there's this... movement, at the corner of his vision.
And when he looks over, there are these... lights. They're really quite distracting; they make it hard to focus on the rules of physics for a world other than his.
Incredibly distracting. Yrael keeps finding his gaze drawn sideways, watching to see which dot lights up next.
The next one is purple and the movement is a turquoise toddler moving at her very fastest over the mat to place both hands on the dot at a very uncoordinated pounce. Which sends the green dot a few feet away to lighting up!
"Heheheee!" ...Ofcourse the toddler isn't helping any by simply just having a ball chasing after green and pouncing on that before moving onto the red one that just lit up.
She's just not moving fast enough to bound right away is all!
Someone should show her how to do a proper bound and pounce.
Alyx is seated nearby, taking a late-night snack break. She's not really paying much attention to her sandwich, though. The turquoise baby playing with the blinky lights is much more interesting.
It's likely because the baby is the color she is, and the fact that the mat-game is just that shiny. In a few more minutes though she toddles back to the green woman and tugs very gently at her knee.
And, with an oddly large and shiny cookie in both hands, the toddler sits down next to the lady to munch away. The mat keeps blinking for a while, but after another few minutes the light resets to an icon in the middle of the mat.
The little game has just reset. And the green lady is picking up on someone watching her, before turning and smiling at Alyx.
"Hello!"
...Excuse the toddler. Her world is full of delcious cookie right now.
It's anyone's guess what elven mages infected with darkspawn taint and brimming with raw power scan like to Mairi, but the world is probably about to find out: there's one currently heading over to where Dot and her daughter are sitting. Talaerion likes children and enjoyed helping care for the new (though admittedly older than Mairi) arrivals at the Circle, when he wasn't busy with his studies. Most of the children that he's seen since leaving have fallen into one of four categories: dead, traumatized, displaced, or scared. It's nice to see one who seems to actually be enjoying thing for a change.
He's also never seen anyone with green skin before. He's recently added black to his visual reference book, courtesy of Zaknafein Do'Urden, but the closest he's come to green thus far has been the darkspawn--and neither of these people look anything like darkspawn. Which is a good thing, really, because those things are ugly with a capital UH

They scan mostly like Aunt Mouse, except with a higher and stronger energy signature. So he'll be stared at for a bit before Mairi toddles over to investigate him and give him a really GOOD scanning.
"Not at all." Replies the green woman. "You're welcome to sit if you like."
Talaerion is used to being stared at. That happens a surprising amount when you have big hair, long pointy ears, and a tendency to wearleather that looks more like it belongs to an exotic dancer than a practitioner of magic. He grins down at Mairi, and then nods to Dot.
"Thanks, I think I will." He carefully lays his staff down on the floor and settles into a cross-legged position next to it. It's not long before he's chuckling at the toddler's intense stare.
"Yes, though she does take after her father in some respects."
Mairi's going to do more than stare at the man in leather. She's just going to toddle her way across the mat to come to it's edge and reach out to investigate him by patting a tiny hand on his experimentally.

"Excuse me," he addresses politely. "You are a data sprite, correct?"

But the toddler is paying attention because the man scans like another thing like Mom's PDA.
"Hi!"

He could just look away. He should. He won't give in. He's stronger than that. He is not a cat.
He is studying physics. Book, yes. That is what he's focusing on. Learning about the rules for Earth.
