Riley left a note at the bar a little while ago (it said: Hey! I'm here if you are. -Riley. It was not the most eloquent note). While waiting for an answer to said note, he is sitting at the bar with a basket of french fries. It's all pretty normal, especially by Milliways's standards (that ... dude [dude? lady? person?] who passed by a few minutes

It's not that Ava doesn't appreciate Bela's fashion advice or Jack's fashion affirmation. Far from it! In fact, she's really warming to some of her newer wardrobe additions, even if they did just come from the Bar.

It's honestly an accident that she's in her same old, same old sneakers-jeans-tank-and-jacket, which she only bothers to rationalize at all when a note appears with her glass of water.

Ava straightens, an expression that could best be classified as a cheerful sort of bzuh?? on her face, then smiles and starts to look around the room. It doesn't take her long to find a very perturbed-looking Riley.

"Hey!"

Beat.

"... Is this a bad time?"

Distant, and very confused: "... I think that squid just cheated on the other one with the pink one." Riley points at the TV screen without looking away from it.

A half a second passes.

His eyes widen; he drops the half-eaten french fry into the basket and quickly spins around. "--Ava!" he says. He wipes his salty hand on his jeans. "Hi."

Now it's Ava's turn to look a little distracted-- but only for a moment.

"Hi!" she repeats, grinning.

"Um. I think that's the one where Japonica accidentally cheats on Kirkii."

A beat.

"What has this place done to me?"

"You know what this is?" Riley asks, startled.
