Shwiiiithump. That's the sound of a hole opening in the ceiling to admit a pole, and then allowing someone to slide down the pole to the floor before the whole deal vanishes. None of which would be relevant if the person in question didn't sit down next to the cape and helmet and so forth.
"...it was Career Day at school today." Tyler starts, looking up at Ray. And we all know the great god Stantz may not have always had much in the way of reading a person's body language. This much is certain, he's got that very tired expression, he's wearing a dented helmet, and something in the tone says that he is so far beyond Ovaltine. "I found out where Charles Brigman was taken."
Tyler takes in a deep breath. "It's kind of what really...tipped the scales. There's this private school for metahumans that opened up, called Praetorian. They all wear masks, so when I ran into a student of theirs called Greyhound at one of the career booths, I didn't think anything of it at first, except he was really insistant on shaking my hand."
"He teleported me to the Rock of Challenge. And started throwing me around." He takes off the helmet for a moment before scowling at it and dropping it onto the bar top.
"AttentionNNNZERK! ULTIMA POWERS" *rzrkrackle* "My son---*bleep*- cosmic power he" *sssrkkk!* "WeildZZZRT! --Make No attempt" *plerrrrrrrbtt* "- I will be forced to SPEAK with your SUPERIORS. END PLAYBACK. HOLO-HELMET REQUIRES SERVICE. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR NEAREST CLAY INDUSTRIES SUPPORT CENTER."
Ben was thinking of heading home after Happy Hour but just happened to catch site of the little super hero he'd ever seen. Okay maybe not the smallest but the kid's pretty close in size to Katie Power.
"Trouble back home?" he says in what he hopes is a comforting voice.
"Yeh." Tyler manages to nod, a new ball of worry forming in his stomach. He's pretty sure he never told Mr. Grimm everything about himself. Or his parents. Or anything about his world at all. "I don't even know where to start."
"Hey Lady can I get a fantastic four split?" Ben says when he catches sight of who's under the golden hat. At his words a monstrous banana split with four different flavors of ice cream appears with two spoons. Ben fumbles with the bar stool, seemingly to see if it will support him and mutters, "I'm not sure what ta call ya but if a got a secret identity, it's safe wit' me."
"This isn't my hero costume." Tyler replies as he picks up a spoon. "I don't have...a hero name yet. Mom and Dad wanted me to wear the one they sent with me when I started school for Career day."
"These're the only parts left of the coshhhffume thah" Mhmmgulp. "Aren't so dented and crumpled that they hurt to wear."
...an ear or two. Or maybe just a nice place to scream and flail and generally do all the panicing he can't get done at home or here without a LOT of strange looks.
Either of those things tend to have a high content of strangers finding out secrets.
"...just....really horrible day at school. Don't feel like talking about it."
The little boy looks over at the lady who just spoke to him, a little unfocused for a moment before nodding.
"Usually it helps but...today was just...too much..." Too much dealing with his parents, too much crazy, too much charles brigman...too much everything really.

An egg wrapped in bright colored foil was placed next to the boy's head. One of those wonderful Cadbury Cream Eggs.
Daniel removed himself off to his table piled with Ori armor, and an old book or two.

"Thank you," Tyler responds, carefully taking off the helmet and setting it down.

"It sounds as if you have quiet a lot to think about, if you don't even wish the comfort of a drink, young man." Quietly.

"Though I'd hope it's due to nothing here, as this place is useful to have as an escape from such things."

He's in the Bar. In a costume. It really doesn't matter right now.
