First Entrance

A little girl walks into a bar and looks around.

Uh-oh. She shouldn't be here, shouldn't she, no matter how she got here.

She walks out again.

And finds herself inside again.

"I'm dreaming, right?" Bridgette says, to nobody in particular.

"Not even if you wished with all your might," says a girl nearby with a friendly smile.

"But I dream stuff," Bridgette says. "My mom and my big sister can do it, too. This is just the sort of thing we would dream. There sure isn't a bar in my closet all of a sudden!"

"Oh, that's what I thought when I first came here too. There couldn't possibly be a bar in the Labyrinth. Well ... this place is kinda different. In like - every way possible."

You think you know something, then it gets turned on its head.

"Most people say it's because of magic, which I know sounds kind of lame? But so far there haven't been any other explanations that work. I mean, we're at the end of the universe."

"What?" Bridgette says. "There's no magic! And end of the universe how?"

If she is, it's so far one heck of an interesting dream. For there is a pirate of French provenance, rotund, and mischievous in the eyes, chasing after what might be a dog, if dogs had that many legs.

"Ha-HA!" he crows, leaping around a table and coming to an abrupt stop before he crashes right into the confounded little kiddie.

"Oh. Hello."

"Oh, hi!" Bridgette says, grinning up at him. "Is that a real rapier? Cool!"

"Of course!"

Bridgette is eyed indignantly.

"And no, you cannot have it."

What? Sometimes children ask these things.

"Oh, please!" Bridgette says. "I love pirates!"

The blond man at the bar who was currently munching some fried paradoxes gave a gentle smile. She was a bit younger than his typical students but he always got along with kids.

"Not at all. You're just in a different place but it's all right."

"Well, I guess my mom and dad would secretly build a bar in my closet," Bridgette says. "So I must be dreaming, right? Hello."

Beat.

"I probably shouldn't talk to strange men in bars," she muses, belatedly.

Johnny chuckled at that, "It's well, it's a magical bar, no fooling either."

He added, "I bet your parents taught you that, they're right. You shouldn't. I would have said the same to my students if they hadn't already known."

"But you're not my teacher, so I don't have to listen to you and can talk to you," Bridgette says, always glad to bend logic in her favour.

Also, this is totally just a dream, right?

[[OOC: Oh yes, totally a good idea! Bridgette is just going to find a 'lady cowboy' very cool. She thinks Porthos is from Disneyland, too...]]

[ooc: lol! Just so long as her resemblance to Bridgette's mom doesn't scare her. :D:D]

[[OOC: She'll think it's her mom dressed up, and then she'll just blame it on being a dream: lady cowboy who looks like her mom in her dream...]]
