"Oh, are you going to make a house out of them, then?"
Ingress has entertained herself with cards a time or two. There's a very old deck that has beautiful paintings on the cards. She loves playing with those.
Three times. Three times Angel has managed to win a fight with a demon, but end up with a (fortunately, metal) sword sticking through him.
At least Spike wasn't involved this time.
Which might be why the vampire and Champion of the Powers That Be is already at Bar and asking for a towel ("Uh, sorry. I think I'm gonna need a bigger one.") before he takes care of his little pointy problem.
Castiel is distracted from his cards and assesses the situation silently for several moments.
He thinks of directing the man (though not a human man, surely, walking around with a mortal wound) to the infirmary. But he seems to be suffering few ill effects despite the sword.
"Do you require assistance?" he asks after a moment.
Angel looks up in surprise, opens his mouth to reply, then shuts it before looking down at the sword sticking out of him. When he looks up again--well, he's looking a bit sheepish.
"Uh, yeah?"
"But it seems like a weird thing to ask. We haven't even met."
He's making assumptions about Castiel's world. Angel meeting someone like this back home wouldn't be all that unusual.

"Why don't you pass the time by playing a little solitaire?"
Reply
"I do not know how to play solitaire."
He spreads a fan of aces, tens, and sevens, alternating red and black, across the upper right corner of the table.

"What games do you know?" The answer seems evident.

"I know none," Castiel admits.
"I asked Bar for some sort of quiet activity. This is what it provided."
"Perhaps I should have requested instructions."
But he had kind of wanted to see what he could do on his own first.

See? If anything happens in the bar, she has lots of people to call on for help. Like Castiel!
"Are you playing a game?"

Castiel looks up from the queens and twos he is arranging in a square.
He glances back down at his cards for a moment.
"No. I do not believe so," he replies.
Entertaining himself? Yes. Playing a game? Probably less so.

Castiel looks down at the playing cards, attempting to work out how such a thing might be possible.
Perhaps it is a metaphor. He is not terribly good at interpreting those.

Frowning. Apparently a little confused.
"Solitaire?" he asks.

He knows that there are a great many of them. But is ignorant as to how to play any of them.
"I was merely.....these arrangements are pleasing. Aesthetically."

Almost none of the people she knew, back when, seem to be here anymore.
The card layout has caught her attention, though, and without meaning to she lingers a second longer to examine the pattern.

"Hello."
He arranges a diagonal line of clubs across the center of the table.

"My name is Castiel."
He stands and extends a hand toward the protruding hilt of the sword, pausing with a Shall I? look on his face.
The man may want a chance to brace himself, after all.
