As usual, Paul isn't totally prepared for the bar when he arrives. However, as soon as he realizes where the door's opened up to, he props the door open, running back into his houseboat for a split second before returning with a couple of gift bags.
(It's Valentine's Day, and as disorganized a person as he is, he's gotten a couple of gits.)
Making a beeline for the bar, he drops off what he has.
In one of the bags is an
assortment of chocolates and a red rose, accompanied by a handmade card (that looks a little like a project he may have undertaken in the presence of his daughters):Be my Valentine?
Either way, I hope you enjoy the themed candy.
Love,
Paul
P.S. I think I still owe you a date.
P.P.S. If you get this late, Happy Valentine's Day anyway.
Wrapped in maroon gift paper is a small
box and a sticky note: Don't eat it all at once.
- Paul
Just kidding. Happy Valentine's Day.
The last gift he drops off is a small
box, also accompanied by a note:Thanks again. Happy Valentine's Day.
- Paul
That done, he sits down at the bar, and is soon occupied by a mug of coffee and a newspaper.
