Well, nearly so, anyway. The damn thing's 40 pages long, and he's not exactly made of free time. But he's down toward the end now, which he figures has to count for something. He'll probably be done with it the next time he sees the guy

"Have you played that poker game yet?" she asks, remembering that he mentioned it the last time they spoke.

"No. I won't be able to play again, most likely - not unless I come up with some other way to cheat. But I felt like I had to make the point."
