Beat.
"It is quiet. At home."
She takes a moment to look at the spread out puzzle pieces, gaze flicking from one shape to the next.
Then she reaches out, picking up one piece and slipping it into place.
"You have been okay, too?"

"I have, yes," Meg says. "The new semester's pretty well under way, and I think I'll like my classes. I had a nice Christmas, and my friends are well.
"So things have been good."
Meg moves three pieces over to group with ones she thinks will ultimately go near each other.
"Is it a good sort of quiet, for you at home, or a worrying quiet?"

Eventually, Meg gets a tap on the shoulder from a dark-skinned, pigtailed little girl.
"This was on the floor," says Sari, holding up an edge piece.
