Light went on a little subway ride today. Boring, perhaps, but necessary and ultimately rather satisfying.

It cost him valuable study time though, so he's finishing off his prep class work in the bar tonight. It would never do to fall behind.

Seras stomped over to a nearby table and plopped her Canon down on the it with a bang. There are teethmarks in it.

"Damn stupid...." she's grumbling.

"Mistook your weapon for a burger?"

[flail_victoria]

"Not me, him," she growled pointing at Vyv, "He's an utter twit!"

Her eyes were red, and not from crying either.

"Why did you leave it lying around?"

[strangemerchant]

It seemed that Light did not notice The Strange Merchant standing behind him the whole time he was sitting down. He would have thought the glowing blue torches would have given him away. But, Light seemed more interested in his books than in The Strange Merchant’s wares.

So, to ameliorate the situation and get Light's attention, The Strange Merchant slowly leaned over Light's shoulder. Light still didn't seem to notice him. Boy, this guy is into his education! So, finally, The Strange Merchant, says, right in Light's ear:

"Welcome stranger! Got some rare things on sale!"

Light may not have seemed to notice him, but he did, actually.

"Then have some manners and approach from the front." he says, smoothly.

[strangemerchant]

"Right you are, stranger." said The Strange Merchant, moving his way to the fron ofthe table. "I have a selection of good things on sale today, stranger." he continued by opening his coat and revealing his wares.

Light puts down his pen.

"Such as?" he asks, suspecting that this may be the quickest way to get back to his prep work. And who knows, an off-world purchase might come in handy.
