Tyler's outside, running around by the door to the bar. He's trying to keep in shape after all, and it doesn't hurt to get to know every possible escape route.

"Hi Bob!"

"Hey, Tyler!" Bob waves cheerfully. "Long time no see!"

The baby turns her head curiously. What's Daddy looking at?

He's looking at the little tan person with yellow hair who has the shiny thing on his chest.

"Yeh, I think the last time I saw you was before the Stone Angels..." Pause with a glance and a small smile to the floating baby. "..is that Mairi?"

[mend_and_defend]

"That's her." Bob beams with pride. :: Mairi, come down and see Tyler! ::

Mairi bobs toward the human boy, arms outstretched. She wants to figure out what that shiny thing is.

Mairi is not the only flying patron out by the lake today. It's just that the one with the tentacles would more likely call it 'floating' than 'flying'. Outside isn't its usual environment, but it thought it should investigate before going back to the Spark in Darkness.

It's big and round and colorful. That's enough to get Mairi's attention. She lets out a delighted squeal and floats toward the tentacled creature until she hits the end of her tether.

The creature peers at the little flying green... hm. That's a familiar sort of feeling it's getting. Perhaps it can use the same protocols it used on board the ONI orbital facility to communicate with it without touching it?

The response from the turquoise humanoid is... similar, but considerably more excited and less coherent. The signal Vergil is getting is roughly equivalent to a server being pinged over and over again.
