So a vague notice went up a couple days ago about attacks in the hallways and warning of mind control.

Captain Ryan’s not a big fan of mind control, despite never having been subjected to it himself. Still, that someone is running around causing trouble, yet again, and Security can’t seem to stop it, yet again, has put him in a rather grumpy mood.

The nervous werewolf knew better than to go poking anybody growly. Especially a fellow wolf. Well, he might poke Tully, but he had his own reasons to do so. He was extra twitchy on account of being Bound at the moment too.

He glanced over and then asked, "How can you stare at it for so long? I always feel half sick after two minutes."

"...Sorry?" That's the first time he heard of it being possible. He was new enough that Milliways had many surprises for him.

He arches an eyebrow at the man.

"If someone's willing," he says slowly, "you can visit their world with them."

[zeevofbristol]

"You can? Really... how? I thought the door only opens to your world?"

He then thought about it, "Wait, wait, so if that other person opens the door, and it's to theirs, you can just walk through?" A small smile grew on his face at the idea, but of course, this being George, cynical reality crashed in again.

"But then if they can't open the door again, you're stuck there aren't you?"

"Yes, that is the downside to it."

He actually scents a little pleased. Flaily 'wolf isn't as dumb as he seems.

"I've never heard of that happening, though if someone never made it back, how would you know?"

Twitchy yet he does have an high IQ, he just excites rather easy.

"Well if the door randomly showed up suddenly, it could also just go away too. And odds are, somebody probably had been stuck."

[captainryan]

"Odds are," Ryan agrees.

"But how would you know?" He points out again. One might think he's enjoying making the other 'wolf squirm.

(They'd be right.)

George replied with more annoyance than squirming this time, "I don't, but it'd be obvious wouldn't it? They can't make the door appear, and you couldn't get to your door, you would have to be stuck."

[captainryan]

"But that's my point," Ryan says smoothly. "If you're stuck, and permanently, who's to come back and tell the bar as much?"

He'd likely be more concerned about this if he went out of bar more often.

George then argued, his hands gesturing in front of him, "Well they would know, other people would know. If you popped off at such and such's door, and oh dear such and such never came back. Wouldn't they also have to figure you wouldn't be back either?"

[captainryan]

"If anyone noticed, or knew you went with them. How many people leave notes when visiting other people's worlds?"

Ryan used to, but the number of people who would care has sharply dwindled in the past year.

"I don't know, this place has a mailing system?" He was still fairly new to it all.

[captainryan]

Ryan's getting that impression, yes.

"Bar's willing to pass notes along."

[zeevofbristol]

"Really, you just write something and... wait how does she hold it? More of that magic business?"

[captainryan]

"Magic or technology. As long as it works, who cares how?"

[zeevofbristol]

"I guess."

George fiddled with his hands and then said, "So what's the oddest thing you've seen around here then?"

No, he really doesn't know what a loaded question THAT is.
