Enzo sidles up to the Bar and asks her a question. He's been doing this regularly for a few days.

This time, however, a package appears on the bartop. Enzo opens it, heaves a sigh of relief, and closes it again.

A further consultation with Bar ensues. Enzo looks uneasy at the conclusion, but nods. He writes a note and places it on the package; they both vanish, and Enzo sighs and heads out to the stables to work off some of his newly-acquired debt.

He's covered by his sister's tab, and young enough that he'd be provided for if he weren't, but some things, he thinks, he needs to pay for.

The note, which looks very much like a free-floating text file from an early version of Windows, reads:

They checked it. It's safe--no sprites. Thanks.

With it are two packages. One contains his PSX, in pristine condition, game likewise, packed with a care normally associated with expensive glassware. The other, considerably larger package is the PS2 version of Rock Band, plucked from two years ahead in Tim's own universe, guaranteed compatible and likewise sprite-free.
