It's been a busy day for Light. He doesn't look like someone who had twenty three people killed on the hours, as he sits in the bar and works his way through his advanced math problems.

He finishes, and gets himself a lemonade while he checks his answers.

There is a Rem sitting near reading a book in her human guise. Of course she knows he's there, she's just ignoring him.

Light passively sips his lemonade, like any other teenager enjoying an evening.

He's been watching out for Rem, of course. He saw her briefly in her human guise before she went Shinigami-shaped and attacked him. But he does nothing to provoke her coming over.

Let the bar, and L, think she's insane, and it'll make his job a lot easier...

She is a Shinigami after all, if Ryuk is any example he should know they are a bit off their rockers.

She put down her book and pulled a small wooden box to her. She opened it up and it was clear that it was a chess board. The pieces spilled onto the table and she began to set them in their places.

He sees her, out of the corner of his eye, but doesn't move over.
