Autumn in Scotland, even fake!Scotland, is cold and wet at the best of times. Today, though, the sky is clear and it's relatively dry out back--enough for the leaves to be loose and crunchy underfoot rather than a mass of soggy organic mush.

It's excellent weather for a girl and her robot to go for a stroll.

"Hello, Alyx!" Annabelle calls out when she spots her friend. "I'm guessing that your friend there is D0G?"

"Yep!" Alyx slides off the robot's back with practiced ease. "D0G, this is my friend Annabelle. Annabelle, D0G."

Bwoop. D0G extends one massive hand toward Annabelle.

Annabelle takes the offered hand, "Nice to meet you D0G."

"How have the two of you been?"

D0G delicately shakes the offered hand. Mwoop!

"Pretty well," says Alyx. "D0G only showed up here a couple of days ago. When I left he was supposed to be on patrol at White Forest..." She gives the robot a Look. D0G endeavors to look innocent.

Ew. As a California girl, Molly, as may be expected, hates Scottish winters with a passion. She's been through way too many of them since she got stuck here, in her opinion.

And today it's not even windy enough to fly a kite!

So. Small girl in a pink bunnyhat and more layers than are really warranted, kicking a purple football along the lakeshore.

The girl in the bunnyhat will shortly hear a strange KATHUNK KATHUNK KATHUNK noise approaching her from behind.

She hears it, alright, and a certain familiarity with robots is behind the way she whips around, eyes flaring up with pink light in readiness.

"...Whoah."

It may or may not turn out to be dangerous, but it's definitely kinda cool.

The woman perched on the robot's back smiles and waves. "Hey there."
