"Not really sure that's what they had in mind when they invented the thing," she points out.

It's her way of being helpful. Sort of.

"Ellen," she offers, followed by a nod of greeting.

"So you try to cook with medieval weapons often?"

"Nope." Another sidelong glance. "I mostly just attack dummies with them."

"And by dummies you mean fake people, or the ones lackin' in brains?"

It's good to clarify.
