And there is a second tarot card in the bar, but he's at the sofa with Bane. Ruin is feeding the coyote scrapes of meat from his leftover lunch, chuckling. He's rather pleased with himself and ignoring anything niggling in his head about things to come.

Ruin is determined to enjoy his rare good mood to its fullest.

He has a Liz settled on the back of the sofa, legs resting against Ruin a little. She's watching the coyote with a curious expression, as she's not met Bane yet. She'll say hi in a minute?

Ruin gives her a brief, welcoming kiss, and then tosses the last of the meat to Bane.

"This is my companion, much like Mons and Mare are Moon's," he says as Bane noses up to Liz, seeing if she has any food for him. He's scraggily, a little too think, but rather happy looking.

Bane won't have far to nose because Liz helps herself to Ruin's lap. Her hands are open to Bane to show she's food-less, before moving to offer scritches behind an ear. A murmured, "Hello."

Her head leans back a little to rest on Ruin's shoulder so she can look at him. "You look happy."

"His name is Bane."

Ruin scritches the nape of Liz's neck while Bane settles down at his feet.

"And I am. A rare occurrence, but it does happen."

Have a Charlie.

He's mostly in a good mood, and so, he's watching Ruin and Bane with a half-smile. "You smiling is a new sight."

It's been a while since he's seen a Charlie.

"I've got something to smile about at the moment, so I'm enjoying it while I can. It won't last."

He knows it won't last.

"Nothing ever does," she says back with a shrug. "What've you got to smile about?"

"My sister is happy, my family quiet, and nothing dark and nasty in the immediate future," he says. "It's the best I can hope for."
