The cat's owner is watching from a chair by the fireplace, but sees no reason to get up and rescue the tall sleeping man from the small cheeky cat. Yet.

"Hel-lo there," Methos murmurs, voice still a little heavy with sleep.
"Curious little thing, aren't we?"

By the fireplace, the man turns his head, ready to intervene should his cat offend.

She is just at a nearby table, studying him while he sleeps. It is more than likely she would not feel safe in his position.
And at the first indication of his waking up, she'll speak.
"There are rooms. Upstairs."
