As far as Dick Winters is concerned, if he spends time in Milliways, he might as well use it while being productive. In this case, he's opted for a swim out in the lake. If one is so inclined, they'll be able to spot a head of red-copper hair bobbing in and out of the water, and a small, neatly folded pile of clothing and a white towel by the shore ( Read more... )

Esfir, too, is being productive. But the pilot is going for a run around the lake.

She probably notices him, though.

His head, anyway. And his clothes.

As she comes back around the lake, Winters has (tall, muscular, lanky, pale, dressed only in black swim trunks and dog tags), by this time, gotten to the shore and is making his way to his things, starting with the towel.

He looks up at the sound of footsteps (not that he didn't notice her earlier), and offers her a sort of half-nod.

She slows down as she nears him - she'd been marking the rough area as her finish line. She (short, thin, pale, cropped dark curls) sees the dogtags, and tosses him a salute.

Half-amused, he returns it.

"Good run?"

Sameth looks over at Paul,

"I can never get things to grow."

"My morning glory almost died," Paul confides, glancing over at the young man.

"But I got it a friend. And it perked right up."

"I've never heard of doing that before."

"Yeah, me neither. But it worked. Which is the important part."

None take offence at Methos' foot at the moment, but a small grey cat is getting interested in it and batting at it with a paw.

The cat's owner is watching from a chair by the fireplace, but sees no reason to get up and rescue the tall sleeping man from the small cheeky cat. Yet.

One of Methos' eyes cracks open.

Then the other.

"Hel-lo there," Methos murmurs, voice still a little heavy with sleep.

"Curious little thing, aren't we?"

The little cat looks up, and takes a step back -- the strange human is alive after all!

By the fireplace, the man turns his head, ready to intervene should his cat offend.

X is not precisely watching over Methos.

She is just at a nearby table, studying him while he sleeps. It is more than likely she would not feel safe in his position.

And at the first indication of his waking up, she'll speak.

"There are rooms. Upstairs."

"So I've been informed," he responds cheerfully.

"How've you been?"

"I have been busy," X says.

"Here. And at home."

Beat.

"But it is quiet now."

(If it's still open of course. If not, that's cool too. I can't resist. Not sure how the chemistry is going to be but dang it if I'm not gonna try.)

Joan glanced over at Michael and whistled to herself.

"Well, it's 5 O'Clock somewhere."
