A layer of soot coats the arriving Teen Titan today. Going up against Gizmo can do that to a guy. And while Cyborg and friends eventually got the upper hand, it's no fun at all to deal with the little runt's booby-trapped jetpack

So, guess who went back to work today?

Mia went back to work today. She's feeling better than she has been all week and things are looking bright for the next. (15 weeks already, eeee!) Of course, that doesn't keep her from coming in to take a lunch break, explaining why she's in wearing some black work robes and with her hair in a bun.

She happens to catch Cyborg's order and thinks it's just what she needs, too. She takes a seat nearby and says, "Can I have what he's having, minus the towel and metal polish? And make the toast whole wheat with Mama's strawberry jam."

"What's wrong with metal polish," he asks with a smile. "Hi."

"Nothing, but I'm not the one covered in soot."

She smiles back.

"Hi. Need a hand with the hard to reach places? Or do you have hard to reach places?"

She's kind of thinking, no matter what, it's impossible to do a good job on your back without some help.

[says_the_booyah]

"Nah, I'm okay. What I don't get here I can get a home. Besides, my parts come apart." He pulls on his left hand and it comes loose, and then reattaches. After which he begins to wipe the soot from his skin (without the polish).

The girl with the cybernetic arm is staring.

Staring so much her ice cream sundae is forgotten.

"Er, hi." He wonders why she'd be staring. Clearly she's seen robot parts before.

There are limb replacements and whole reconstructions! Jordan abandons the ice cream treat in favor of walking over to Cyborg. "Hi. Who did it all? It's... amazing!" She is resisting the temptation of breaking out the scanner.

Barely.

"Thanks. My dad and a friend of his did most of it. A while ago. But I do the upgrades." He doesn't talk much about who did it. It was a lifetime ago.

A small, skinny pigtailed Indian* girl is eying Cyborg with great interest. Those prosthetics don't look like anything manufactured by Sumdac Systems...

* That's 'Indian' as in 'from India,' not 'Native American.'

He's busy eating his eggs at rapidfire speed when he spots the little girl. "Hi!" He likes kids.

"Hi!" says the little girl back. "Awesome mods."

"Mods?" He has no idea what she means.
