The front door opens, and one teenaged twi'lek crawls through.

Yes, you read that right. There's even bits of leaves and dirt on her cloak.

And now she's sitting on the floor blinking, confused.

Today sucks.

River is holed up in front of the fire, sunk deep into the cushions, intently watching the fish swim through the flames, when she smells the wave of excitement and confusion. She looks up sharply.

If this were anyone else but Laranth, she'd go to them, see if they were injured. Instead she blinks, pondering.

"In need of assistance, Padawan?"

She blinks at River.

Or rather, at the patch of air just to the right of River's head. The world is still a little... off. Slowly her gaze slides into a more... correct position.

And she blinks again. This time more correctly.

"Yes." She's quite aware who she's talking to - one doesn't forget this place easily, and people who cheerfully discuss any weaknesses you have are equally memorable. Even on days like today.

River moves quickly but smoothly, coming to kneel next to the young twi'lek.

"Here. Take my arm."

She blinks again, squinting a little - she didn't quite track that. It was a little like watching one of those flip books, but one that was missing a few pages.

She reaches out to obey River's command, but it isn't until she blinks again that she lowers her hand enough to actually make contact.

Her master would be so pissed if he knew where she was right now. So very very pissed off.

And look, here is a helpful super hero confused in her own way...

"Can I help you?" she asks welcoming the distraction.

"You..." She blinks, and focuses a little more squarely on Val. "Aren't in a forest."

It's easier to start with the basics.

"No," Val manages to say without laughing. "This isn't a forest. Have you been to Milliways?"

"... The tapcafe in the temple." She offers, after a moment of thought. "And in the shuttle hold."
