Cata's finally got around to cleaning her crossbow, and what of the bolts she could salvage from her excursion the week before last.
She's beginning to think she really ought to have made the time sooner. Dried blood doesn't come off of crossbow bolts very well, and she knew this, so she's not blaming anyone but herself... but it's still not much

The crossbow gets an interested look, and the mun gets an apology about dropped threads; it's been a zoo in RL lately and there's hardly been either time or brainspace for RP'ing. It happens, sometimes; no worries.
"Good morning. When one doesn't have access to rifles on a daily basis, one makes do." She does enjoy using her crossbow, though, and there is no way in the Abyss she's taking that rifle home. If her world's going to develop that kind of technology, it can do so on its own time; there's no point in making her job any more complicated than it is at present.
"I really should have cleaned it sooner, though."

The Medic nods. "I haf a bit of experience with cleaning some of ze more complicated equipment at headquarters," he says, "und some time free, so if you need any assistance..."

"I'd appreciate it. Though the real problem is that I let the bolts sit for a week and a half before I tried to clean them."
One doesn't waste quality materials, when not in a crisis. Besides, the Bar won't give her more bolts, so all she has is what she brings in.
