Shufti is in a booth, keeping an eye out for suspicious people or anyone who wants to pass on information.

She's not the lead on the case, but she's been keeping an eye on things in order to do her bit. Her security badge is visible pinned to her front, and she's polishing her sword on the table.

"Greetings," Teja says when he recognises the wife of his friend CJ. "How does your family fare?"

"The murder was not done with a firearm," Teja says. "And Captain Ryan was training with his sword; we spoke about it. He approved I had my axe, and was not in the dark unarmed; he thinks me careless, from when he attacked me at full moon."

Shufti nods. "Thank you. Was there any blood on the sword?"

"No," Teja says. "He was merely attacking a pell; it was wooden."

"And why were you carrying your axe?"

"In case I met anything dangerous?" Teja says.

"Did you have reason to think that likely?"

"Of course," Teja says. "It is the woods, at night -- they are not safe! There are creatures there -- beginning with wild boar."

"All right, thank you." Shufti says, making a note.

"I hope I could help," Teja says. "I will leave you to your work, then."

He gets up, bows to her, and leaves.-

"Wait, sorry, I have another question!" Shufti says, getting up and following him.

"The victim, West Rosen. Did you know him or know anyone who would want to harm him?"

"Ahhh," Teja says, turning around. "Yes, I knew him indeed, briefly. He was an unpleasant fellow, very arrogant -- quite unbecoming for one so young."

"And you think someone might have harmed him for that reason?"

"If it was the wrong someone, yes," Teja says. "It is not wise to irk an irate man of short temper."

"So you think he may have been provocative?"

"Yes," Teja says. "Very much so!"
