"But I don't even know you," comes the faintly confused reply from the guy a few stools over. Don't worry, it's kind of an automatic reaction.

"... unless you weren't talking to me," he adds after a moment.

The cup stopped, hovering in her cradled hands before her mouth.

There's always some distraction in a bar -- no difference here.

"You get random people asking you to marry them often?"

Jo's eyebrows lifted faintly as she smiled a bemused, pointed smile.

Then it was lost behind the mug when she took a drink finally.

"Unless you've got a better offer than this," She gestured with the mug. "I wasn't asking you."

There's another blonde of the taller variety, though this time both she and the near-empty plate of cupcakes have moved down the bar.

"You know, I think she gets that all the time," Izzie quips with a grin.

There's a look over, female voice. Not as rare here as home.

But there's a sizzling smirk for the line.

"The true mark of any good bartender."

Izzie's poison is tea; she's still trying to work her way back into any caffeine or alcohol.

The mug gets cradled in her hands as she answers.

"You know your way around a bar?"

"Only since I was born."

There's tired pride in those words.
