"But I don't even know you," comes the faintly confused reply from the guy a few stools over. Don't worry, it's kind of an automatic reaction.
"... unless you weren't talking to me," he adds after a moment.

The cup stopped, hovering in her cradled hands before her mouth.
There's always some distraction in a bar -- no difference here.
"You get random people asking you to marry them often?"

Uhm. "Not often, no." He's reasonably sure a handful of times count as 'not often', especially as he's convinced the ladies weren't actually serious.

Jo's eyebrows lifted faintly as she smiled a bemused, pointed smile.
Then it was lost behind the mug when she took a drink finally.
"Unless you've got a better offer than this," She gestured with the mug. "I wasn't asking you."

There's another blonde of the taller variety, though this time both she and the near-empty plate of cupcakes have moved down the bar.
"You know, I think she gets that all the time," Izzie quips with a grin.

Izzie's poison is tea; she's still trying to work her way back into any caffeine or alcohol.
The mug gets cradled in her hands as she answers.
"You know your way around a bar?"
