Somewhere out there, just at the edge of the most delicately tuned sensors' perception, there are signals being traded that Ironhide can't quite read. Some of them are Autobot signals, he's sure of that. Some of them are Decepticon ones, of that he's even more sure. The fact is that he can't read any of them. It's like spending a week with someone

Eventually Lissar exits the bar with a bucket of some microbrew or another and a Thermos of lemonade. She finds her favorite seat and settles in to watch. It's Ironhide's bad moods, but it's one of her best sources of entertainment.

She reaches up to touch his cheekplate lightly, "I know. There is a toy me, as well. Let us see how Optimus feels about this, and perhaps we can slowly begin to shift how you are presented."

"If it's all right with him, it's all right with me," says Ironhide. "Slag, I'll hold still long enough for a full photo shoot if it'll get some of that airbrushed stuff off the market."

"I will see what I can do." she promises, dusting a bit of dirt off of him and nodding firmly, "I cannot make promises, but I shall try."

"Thank you," says Ironhide, shifting a few plates of his armor around a little. "The waiting's getting to me. This isn't like the 'cons, holding back and not showing themselves..."

Segues are something that happen to other people.

"I know." she says softly, frowning, "They are up to something, I think. But I do not know what, or for what reason."

"We'll give them hell when they do arrive," Ironhide says, "but idling this way... doesn't sit right with me."

[lissla_lissar]

"Patience is not your best trait." Lissar agrees, shaking her head. "You are a 'bot of great action."

"Bumblebee does patience," says Ironhide. "Don't know where he got it from, but he's a good deal better at it than I am. Always has been."

[lissla_lissar]

"It is more useful for a scout, or a spy." Lissar points out, "Construction and weapons is more straight forward. This, the problem. This, the solution."

"Suppose so," says Ironhide. "One of these days I'm gonna need it, though. For your people, if nothing else."

[lissla_lissar]

Lissar makes a small snort and says, "You are my people. For the kingdom we two shall rule, yes, but your people are mine."

"All right, all right..."

Not the most convincing grumbling ever, that.

"I feel obligation to the land that gave me birth." Lissar says softly, "But I feel connection and love for the people who have given me purpose."
