He smiles, returns the kiss, and then reaches for a fresh glass and that bottle to pour her one.

"Demeter, I was hoping you'd find your way here this evening."

Ellen managed to get one of her Vault jumpsuits out of the bottom of her backpack, so she's no longer in armor when she approaches the Bar. "Never had brandy or wine at all?"

Travesty! (But for the young lady's sake, at least Athos isn't recoiling in horror at the thought of being her age and never having had wine before.) This is an opportunity for education.

"Brandy is a stronger drink than wine," he offers. Not sure if she knows what they even are.

"I don't think we had any where I grew up," Ellen says. "Whiskey and vodka, yes, and beer, although the beer was all awful.... hm." She glances over her shoulder at the door. "I've had an unsettling day. Would you recommend one over the other to help with that?"

"Brandy is comparable to a whiskey," he says. "What was it about the beer you didn't like? Wine is made from crushed grapes. You cask the juice and then age it for awhile to allow it to ferment into alcohol."

He's pouring her a glass from the bottle he poured his from earlier.
