The lake shore halfway between the Bar and the inlet has been taken over today by a tiny, blond goddess. Anyone in her immediate vicinity will have to be careful not to trip over the (somewhat) tidy stack of blank canvases, the art box containing paints, or the extra easels in case someone wants to join her in creative chaos. He looks around.

"Are you going to teach a painting class?"

Eirene makes an 'oops' face, then grins. "January was a long month for me. We had a hotel collapse in Mecca, an earth quake, suicide bombings.. didn't have the heart to get away until now."

Beat.

"No, why?"

"It wouldn't come out. I even shared half my morning stash." If by 'sharing' one means 'tossing cookies out into the lake and calling Heeeeere, Squid'. Which didn't work.

She might sound slightly put out by that.

"Giant Kraken-like things are supposed to be terrifying," Eirene announces, before setting her brush down in a glass of not-so-clean water, and turns around to grin up at him.

She'd risk a hug, but there are paint spatters just about everywhere. "Hi, boyscout."
