Annabelle has come to a decision about the offer of a temporary transformation. When the window pops up again she asks, "Can I get a few minutes delay on that? I don't want to transform in here, just in case..." Whatever answer she gets seems to reassure her, as she presses accept and heads out back.

And all of that excitement? Looks like an origin story waiting to happen, even though it's probably just Cubefall stuff. Still, he's got to ask - and he does, once he's close enough that he doesn't have to shout (and in her line of sight the whole time).

It takes him a while to figure out the nature of the sensation that accompanied the eruption, as if a bubble of mingled quantum and subquantum energies were popping and being recreated. Once he does, though, he and Jennifer are there at Annabelle's side pretty directly, he flying or nearly so and she bodysliding.
* Well, almost every nova. Michael doesn't actually remember getting the headache of node-formation, but that may just be down to his having been distracted by running for his life from a burning house.
