It's dark outside, and the lake is an unmoving moonlit silhouette against its shadowy backdrop of trees, grass, and the occasional red-eyed bunny. Being who she is, Melpomene can appreciate the rhythm.

So she watches the shadows, from the shoreline.

Either the dancer isn't particularly self-conscious, or she doesn't notice that she has an audience. A fair amount of time passes before she pauses, arms still raised in first position, and looks across the grass at Melpomene.
