Coreen notices a woman wrapped up in a coat, and brings a stray blanket over off one of the couches.

"You look chilled."

"Well, no...I was just complimenting you on your name."

She chuckles.

"Joe says we need to decide on a last name before we start on the first name...and I don't know which we're going to use."

She blinks.

"Why must you decide that?"

"Well, because we aren't married and probably won't ever get married."

She shrugs. It really doesn't bother her.

"Oh."

A tilt of her head.

"Aren't your families terribly angry?"

Unless perhaps Coreen is a servant. Then it's possible nobody would care.

"My family's dead...and so is most of Joe's. It doesn't really matter what we decide to do."

Coreen's no one's servant. Free agent.

"Oh."

Antigone nods.

"My family died too, before I did."

Coreen nods too.

"It used to bother me more. But now...it's done, and I know they'd want me to live my life."

She smiles faintly.

"Mine did."

Too bad about that.

Coreen can kind of understand. She's currently a displaced soul, herself. Though, she is alive...somewhere.

"My mom and step-dad died in a car accident."

She nods, gravely. (No pun intended.)

Her brothers used to drive their cars too fast.

"What about your father?"

"I haven't seen him since I was about twelve. He beat up my mom and I, and did horrible things. I haven't gone looking and neither has he."

Antigone's brow furrows.

Long ago, Creon said things about Polynices and Eteocles-- struck their father across the face, bad blood.

It's not the same.

"You're best shut of him, perhaps," she says softly.

"Yes. I wouldn't want to bring a child around him. Nor would I want to be around him myself."

Her face clouds for a moment, before smoothing back out.

"But...Joe...is wonderful."

Antigone's smile is very small.

The closest she has to wonderful is probably Coyote.

"Good. He'll treat you both well?"

"Yes, he already does."

Her smile is quite shy, actually. And a little proud.
