Jim slides into the booth next to her, slinging his arm around her shoulders and kissing her cheek. "Hi."

"Hi." She leans back against him, using him as an upright pillow of sorts, and nudges the plate in his direction.

"Want a cookie?"

"No, you can eat the cookies. Gotta eat for two." He whispers the words against her hair, grinning like a mad-man.

The word two nearly makes her heart leap into her throat.

"I know," she says, unable to stop the smile that spreads on her face.

"Besides, these are some good cookies."

A small brunette little girl is staring at her cookies from an arm's length away. :O

It might have something to do with the fact that her maternal instincts are kicking in big time all of a sudden, but when she catches the little girl staring at her cookies, she holds the plate out to her.

"Go ahead, take one."

Ellia steps forward and takes a cookie, eying the woman carefully. Her arm flails to the side and she calls out, "Kae!"

A similar looking toddler, only blonde and green-eyed where her sister is brunette and blue-eyed, comes waddling over from behind the booth. Ellia breaks her cookie in half (ish. Half-ish) and gives it to Kaelyn.

"Fank'oo." Ellia says with a shy smile.

"No problem," Pam says, grinning widely, and the plate gets placed back down on her table.

"Let me guess," she adds. "You two are sisters. Am I right?"
