[Part of the Duet for Claws and Swords Plot]
Two tarot cards sit in the bar.
At one table.
Each has their deck, and it almost looks as if they are playing a card game with them, the tabletop covered in cards. Cards crossing cards. Moon sets another card down and looks at her brother.
"Trip trip and fall, brother," she murmurs.
Ruin places a card atop hers. "They learn from falling. It's the way things work."
"But they can be caught before they hit the ground," Moon insists.
"That's not our job," Ruin snaps, placing another card in the massive spread.
Moon sighs, shaking her head as she crosses the card with one of her own. "And they all fall down."
Ruin leans back in his chair, eyes on her. "They all fall down," he agrees.
