Pam is feeling particularly relieved when the door to Milliways shows up just as she's about to leave work

She doesn't recognize him (whoa, turtle), but the look on her face suggests that she could probably venture a guess as to who he is.

"I'm alright," Pam explains, grateful for the stool to take the weight off her pained feet. "Poor fashion choice. But I could use a drink."

"Or poor decision-making, yeah," Pam agrees, but the joke is taking her mind off her blisters, at least.

She pauses and dwells.

"Mango sangria," she finally decides.

"What on Earth makes women wear those torture-device shoes, anyway?"

"Besides us?"

"I was an accomplice to a prank that ended sort of badly."

Mostly for Jim, but Pam's feet are serving as an obvious reminder that she's suffering too.

"Your feet," Jim murmurs as he comes up behind her, rubbing his eye. "Need bandaids."

He has a box of them in his hand! Stolen from the annex. :D?

"My hero," Pam murmurs, smiling slowly at him.

Her feet, meanwhile, are nearly screaming in pain.

He leans forward and kisses her quickly, running a hand over her hair. "You're the hero, walking in those torture devices all day.

Jim sits on a stool and then points at her foot. "Hand it over. Foot it over? Hmm."

She obliges without hesitation, hoisting her foot up into his lap and wincing at the sight of it.

"God, it's so gross," she says, hiding her face and laughing.
